Hiding Behind Education
As students, on a daily basis we are preached to about how important college degree’s are and how you can’t survive without one. I mean that’s somewhat true and I myself do believe that to a certain extent. But the whole idea of getting a degree, putting yourself through another 4 years of school and realizing when your done that you still can’t find a job is really crazy to me. Degree’s are important when you plan to work in an educational, law, government, or any type of setting that is in relation to those. What about the people that didn’t go to college and are more successful than the people who spent their whole life working for that bachelors, masters, or even doctorate? How did they make it? They made it because they see the world for what it is and decided to go out and take control of their progression. What pisses me off are people that brag so much about the ‘higher’ education that they received but are still unhappy with what they do deep down inside. I think what i’m trying to get to is that you don’t need school to be successful, what you need is the drive for success and the willpower to be great. That can’t be taught in school, that comes from your heart.
